Whether you love the party atmosphere, go for the gambling, or are a bit skeptical of Las Vegas like I was, that city really does have something for everyone. Outside of the neon lights and extravagant hotels and casinos, Las Vegas is a convenient place to fly into on your way to numerous destinations, including Hoover Dam , Zion National Park , Grand Canyon National Park , Death Valley National Park , and much more. As first time Vegas visitors ourselves, let me share some tips we found useful: Go during the week. To avoid the extra crowds and get better rates at hotels, book a stay on the strip during the week, where you can easily walk to many places you want to see. Walk into and browse the different hotels and casinos. Each one has a unique theme to attract visitors. It is free to browse, but be aware, you can find it difficult to find your way out sometimes. I have never been to Austin but all indications are that it would be a good place to visit. College friends of mine have lived there for their entire post-UMR lives so it must be a good place. Other locations in the Hill country are great places to visit.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a fun place. Very biker and pedestrian friendly city. Live music everywhere. Tons of great BBQ and Tex-Mex food. Really worth checking out. If I went again I would love to venture out into the Hill country more.
